geez, i'm bad at updating this thing..

quite a bit has happened since i last updated..

jeremy and i celebrated our 5 year dating anniversary on april 14th. the next day, i got into my first real car accident ever while on the way home from work. it wasn't my fault though thank goodness and i'm getting my car fixed in a couple weeks. i need a new trunk lid and bumper. i'm gonna be a nervous wreck driving around in the rental car, lol.

the house stuff is going good. we really need to buy a lawnmower this weekend. our grass is like a foot tall, lol. i've been getting more into baking, i really love it now.

work has been good, really busy lately. the weeks kind of seem to blend into one another lately. i'm definitely getting anxious for our maine vacation, but it's still a few months away :/

we're going on a bus trip to a red sox game on the 4th of july. we went a couple years ago and it ended up being a pretty boring, low-scoring game that the sox lost. hopefully they'll win and score more runs this time!

I've been getting into cooking/baking and have found a bunch of recipes on recipezaar.com. My favorite things I've made so far are shepherd's pie and double chocolate banana muffins. The muffins are pretty quick to make and they are delicious.

Ingredients

* 1 1/2 cups flour
* 1 cup sugar
* 1/4 cup baking cocoa
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 1/3 cups mashed ripe bananas
* 1/3 cup vegetable oil
* 1 egg
* 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
2. In a small bowl, combine bananas, oil and egg.
3. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
4. Fold in chocolate chips.
5. Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups three fourths full.
6. Bake at 350 deg F for 20-25 minutes or until muffins test done.

I only have mini muffin tins and the recipe makes about 36 muffins.

Now that I'm getting into baking, I should really find an apron so I don't make a mess of my clothes all the time.

I started this in my lj in January and figured I'd post it here too.. Feel free to recommend some movies to me.

I'm going to try to watch 100 movies I've never seen this year. Shouldn't be that hard because there are lots of good movies around that I haven't seen.

April Fool's

I don't really like April Fool's day.. I've been hesitant on reacting to everything I hear today in fear that its going be a joke..

I'm home sick from work today. I think the big move really took a lot out of me and I never took the time to recuperate afterwards.

Our house is still looking pretty clean.. We have stupid little ants invading our breakfast bar area, argh.. Jeremy has sealed up lots of little cracks along the wall, but they're still managing to find a way in. I guess that's what we get for buying a house that is pretty much built into the ground.

After a long blinkie hiatus during the move, I'm back into making them again. I came up with some Easter ones a couple days ago and I think this one is my favorite blinkie I've ever made...



It involved combining a couple pixels and recoloring the girl's dress, but I think it came out so pretty!
